On the opposite coasts of that pond called Aegean Pelagus, the two peoples have been lashed for eons by the salty winds and the scorching sun of the Mediterranean basin, and ravaged by wars. One country at the edge of the European continent, the other at the edge of the Middle East, but similar in their homeland cultures and in their Diaspora: Strong family life; high esteem for the human being – both man and woman; exceptionally strong appreciation for secular education; an inner drive to succeed and to contribute to society.

The Republic of Greece established full, Embassy-level, diplomatic relations with the State of Israel in 1996. Over the years, they shared friendly but cool relations until recently when they decided to march on the path of alliance. There are exceptionally practical reasons for Greece and Israel to become strong allies. They can offer each other hand of friendship and support in tourism, in political and strategic perspective, in technology, in trade and business. Yet, this very moment, vocal enemies are aggressively trying to destroy that which friendship and common interests are building.   

CHI aims to showcase the common cultural and social interests and to rally grass roots support on that basis; to help the world understand the special place history has reserved for the two countries, and t0 highlight the unique features of each country; to abolish bigotry, and to build the future on the basis of mutual respect and a newly inspired sense of common destiny.  

CHI Circle for Hellas & Israel , invites you to join the International friends of the Greece-Israel Alliance in the Diaspora, in Greece and Israel and everywhere. CHI’s roundtables will encourage cultural and educational exchanges; seek trade and investment opportunities; shed light on current events; introduce personalities who offer insider views, and highlight dignitaries who can offer perspective on what is transpiring and why. CHI members will have the opportunity to actively express themselves on important issues; to celebrate the truth and the triumphs of the human spirit, and to memorialize tragedies indelible on humankind’s history and psyche.
